Requesting your prescription

When you are ordering your repeat prescription please be aware that the practice requires 2 full working days before it is available to collect; if there is a query with your prescription it can take and extra working day.

Please be aware that the local pharmacies require at least one more working day to prepare your medication.

From 01st February 2018 any urgent requests will be assessed and the practice will only issue urgent repeats for medication or conditions the GPs class as urgent. All other requests will be processed as a routine prescription.

Please request your medication a week before you will run out to allow sufficent time in case of problems.

From 1st April 2017 there will be changes in urgent care services across County Durham.

Please ring the practice during normal hours if you feel you need to be seen, contact 111 at any time, or 999 if it is an emergency.

The Ferryhill practice is open for extended hours each monday (excluding bank holidays)
