If you have any children under 13 years old they can be added to your account and you can also add others as long as they have signed the relevant forms giving consent for this. Please contact reception if you would like to do this.

Requesting your prescription

You can order your medication up to 4 days in advance.

Please note the surgery requires a minimum of 2 working days to process your request and the pharmacy may need an extra day or two to get your prescription ready as they may need to order items in.

You can also order your prescription by using the repeat slip from your current prescription and ticking which items you need or by simply writing you name, address and date of birth along with the items you would like to order and placing in the prescription box at either surgery.

From February 2018 any urgent requests will be assessed and the practice will only issue urgent repeats for medication or conditions the GPs class as urgent. All other requests will be processed as a routine prescription.

You can nominate a chemist for us to send your prescription, although some items cannot be sent electronically so if your chemist if not in Ferryhill or Chilton you may need to collect that prescription.

Prescription Synchronisation

Please complete synchronisation service request form if you would like to have your GP’s help to adjust quantities of your regular medications to enable you to collect all items together once a month. To achieve this your GP will need to issue a single synchronising prescription. To help us them with synchronisation please complete the form below and hand it in to your GP the next time you order your repeat prescription. When you next collect your medicines, you will receive different quantities of each to bring them in line. In future you should be able to order all your regular items together – there will be a couple of exceptions, when the dose of medication varies i.e., painkillers, anticoagulants, insulin, where it might be difficult to align them completely.
If you have any questions, please speak to one of the team.
